Relive the 80s and 90s school breaks with the classic Super Friends card game!
Welcome to a new nostalgic gem at El Canal del Wason! If you ever spent your school recesses measuring the “Strength” or “Speed” of your favorite heroes, this game is going to hit you right in the childhood. We’ve brought the legendary card game to life digitally so you can face off against the CPU and prove who truly rules the DC Universe.
Language Note
Please note: This game was originally created in Spanish. However, you can easily change the language settings at any time. Simply use the language selection tab located in the top-right corner of the screen to switch between English, Portuguese, or Spanish.
🎮 How to Play?
The goal is simple, but it requires strategy and knowing your characters well: You must leave the CPU with no cards!
- The Initial Deal: When you tap “Start,” the deck is automatically split in two—half for you and half for your rival.
- Choose Your Best Attribute: In each round, you’ll see your card on the screen, but your rival’s card will be face down. Check your hero or villain’s stats: Height, Weight, Strength, Fights, and Speed.
- The Duel: Click on the attribute you think has the highest value. Instantly, the rival’s card will flip over, and the numbers will be compared.
- Winner Takes All: The one with the higher number wins the round and takes both cards to the bottom of their deck.
- The Tie (TENSION!): If there is a TIE, the cards stay in a “pot,” and the winner of the next round takes them all.
- Victory: The game ends when one player collects all the cards in the deck. Can you achieve total victory?
🦇 The Golden Age: The Legendary Cromy Super Friends Cards
To understand the magic of this game, we have to travel back in time, straight to the late 1980s. In Argentina and Uruguay, school breaks were dominated by a company that was synonymous with happiness: Cromy.
Founded in 1983 by the Stanislavsky family, Cromy revolutionized the sticker and card game market across the region. Around 1987, they released one of their most iconic and remembered collections: The “Tope y Cuarteto” (Trump and Quartet) Super Friends deck.
Based on the legendary animated series by Hanna-Barbera and DC Comics, these cards allowed us to pit Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin, and Flash against villains like Lex Luthor or The Riddler.
What made them so special? The stats. They were the ultimate subject of debate in every schoolyard. We’d argue over why a certain villain had more “Fights” than a hero, or feel the frustration of drawing a card with low numbers and having to play it, praying the rival had a worse one. The design was unmistakable: vibrant comic book illustrations, classic logos, and that technical data grid we all knew by heart.
Cromy didn’t just give us a card game; they gave us our first lesson in strategy and brought us closer to comic books in a unique way—long before the internet or massive handheld gaming existed. Today, at El Canal del Wason, we invite you to travel back in time.
Are you ready for the duel? Hit play, choose your stats wisely, and may the best deck win!
